After a long seven hundred years of Delhi’s reign, a fragile peace has returned. The lands have begun to thrive and people who were in hiding for so long out of fear, were beginning to lend a hand to help keep this new sense of peace. With so many changes after Delhi’s downfall, everyone was still unsure what the future holds.

 Esmeralda and Onyx thought they could relax and start rebuilding the lost dragon lands, but a new threat has surfaced to threaten their peace. When sightings of a mysterious black dragon begin to appear and destroy everything in its path, the people start questioning Onyx along with the other guardians as things begin to spiral out of control. Onyx can’t help but compare it to Delhi, when he encounters it, and fears he would relive the events of Kalama and lose those he cherishes. 

When a near tragedy occurs on Zephyrus they notice not all is as it seems as some of them become tainted. The walls have ears and unknown enemies are patiently waiting to strike them down. The crystals are fearful of this new threat leaving everyone puzzled and unsure how to stop it. Esmeralda is determined to figure out what is happening to the crystals and her comrades, and to stop this dragon from ruining more lives. There was just one problem, almost nothing seems to phase it.
